Yes, I think Snow Leopard was a bit rough but I haven't experienced any issues of late. We run many production machines, all running the latest operating system. Things seem very solid these days.
I did a job yesterday that ran around the clock and I mean 24 hours straight to hit a deadline. I had one AE crash and I went, "wow, that was weird", but then thought, how many systems wouldn't have one crash after such an ordeal.

No. I've been burned by Apple OS updates, in a variety of ways.
But it's a small valley, as they say.

What are you saying here, Rich? Are you concerned that AE CC will not work with third party plug ins? You don't have to worry about that because they all work with AE.

"Upgrading to Snow Leopard caused so many problems for me, nothing worked."
Why risk a production machine for an unnecessary (mostly Mac) OS update, and then blame 3rd-party software?
Nothing personal if I'm being insufferable, I've been burned in a variety of ways by updates that zigged without concern for others.
And skipping back a bit, sure there are some concerns with CC (http://img.ly/uGvQ), but there's nothing new with inevitable problems opening files far between versions.
