What's your motherboard and cpu? Are you running AE 11.0.2?  I have had similar issues using an older mobo and the newer nvidia drivers with a 680. Rolling back to 306.xx did solve the problem. You could also try: deleting your AE prefs, reinstalling AE, uninstalling GeForce Experience or trying the nvidia driver cleaner + reinstall clean 320.xx

Just curious, why wouldn't you use Premiere Pro CS6 instead of Vegas if you have already production premium? It's much more powerful.

I updated my Nvidia driver yesterday (because it was there) to 320.18. I running CS6 production premium with all current updates and a GTX 680 with 2GB ram. Since updating the driver, when launching AE it sits at the cleaning up raytraced 3D for a long time. It use to only do this the first time after a driver update. Now it is everytime, and yesterday I launched AE no less than 30 times. Should I just roll back the driver?

Side note: I can't keep AE running all day because I render my stuff out to image sequences then bring those into Sony Vegas to do a mix and if AE is running, Vegas will crash 100% of the time when I go to render. It's frustrating and I blame Vegas, it's the only program I run that crashes.
