There's also the RepositionAnchorPoint script (http://aescripts.com/reposi= tionanchorpoint) that will shift the anchor point to one of nine key po= ints on a layer.

Triangles specifically are tricky as the edges are between t= he outer boundaries of a layer, but this may help snap it around easily!

Do you know how to use the pan behind tool? You can = use this on the triangle layer right in the comp window. This will move the= anchor point to the exact point you want to be your new anchor point to ro= tate. Once moved rotate the layer.=A0

If you move the anchor point on a layer without using p= an behind the later will move to a new position, which is not what you want= . The power of pan behind is it only moves the anchor point and does not di= srupt position of the item.

In cinema 4d you can rotate the axis point (anchor point) of= an object, independent of the rotation parameter.

thank you

same idea as moving the anchor point, but to reorient it instead.=

(pan behind tool but for rotation)
