There's also the RepositionAnchorPoint script (http://aescripts.com/repositionanchorpoint) that will shift the anchor point to one of nine key points on a layer.
Triangles specifically are tricky as the edges are between the outer boundaries of a layer, but this may help snap it around easily!

Do you know how to use the pan behind tool? You can use this on the triangle layer right in the comp window. This will move the anchor point to the exact point you want to be your new anchor point to rotate. Once moved rotate the layer.
If you move the anchor point on a layer without using pan behind the later will move to a new position, which is not what you want. The power of pan behind is it only moves the anchor point and does not disrupt position of the item.

Sent from my iPhone yes sorry i didn't explained well, but i have a layer with a triangle mask that im rotating in using one of its edges as a pivot point, but i want to rotate it out using another edge as a pivot point.
In cinema 4d you can rotate the axis point (anchor point) of an object, independent of the rotation parameter.
thank you Dan
