I use the free version of the Linotype FontExplorerX and it works just fine for my home office set up. I really like the UI. It is very intuitive. I just wish it had some form of font repair function. I have used it onsite at client office too where they had it set up to activate fonts stored on a server and that too was fine, but the server connectivity was a bit buggy so you would have to regularly deactivate/reactive or disconnect/reconnect when fonts would go missing. But it was free so couldn't complain for the price

Hi, I know this question has been asked before but I'm gonna throw it out again....

What do people use in a studio environment for managing fonts?

We currently use Font Agent Pro on out OSX machines and I really don't like it. The UX is just not intuitive.

I think Linotype offer some kind of for client / server options now but I don't know anybody that has tried it.

Thoughts?

Cheers.

Phil
