I asked about the projections and the only = info I got was: 17 Christie 20K projectors in 4 stacks sitting on a 4 storey scaffolding = structure at Dawes Point. Projector Company: Electric Canvas. They're = using Only View for show control. I've checked the website for Electric Canvas and they don't have any = info on the Opera House, which is surprising. They have a write-up on a = different projection, but not the main one - maybe they've been too busy = working! =20 http://www.theelectriccanvas.com.au They've got projecting onto the Opera House down to a fine art, a few = weeks ago they also did projections for a Samsung event that was one = night only. The Opera House is a great building for projections because = it is white and shiny, yet when they turn off the floodlights there's = very little ambient light. I've worked on a few building projection = gigs now and the killer is always ambient light - even if the projectors = are really bright too much ambient light will kill the effect. So = having a building that takes projections really well but is very dark = works great. We do a fair amount of projection = mapping on sets, and it is always a problem to make bright enough. >=20 > -----Original Message----- > From: After Effects Mail List [mailto:AE-List@media-motion.tv] On = Behalf Of Chris Zwar > Sent: Sunday, May 26, 2013 4:26 AM > To: After Effects Mail List > Subject: Re: [AE] Vivid - Sydney=20 >=20 > Thanks all for the positive feedback! >=20 > On 26/05/2013, at 2:11 PM, Greg Balint = wrote: >> Mind giving us any insight as to how it all went down? how many were = on the animation team, and how long you had to create this? >=20 > I'm not 100% certain of the time it took because Spinifex were = producing various bits & pieces for different projects - including at = least 3 building projections for Vivid if not more - and I've got no = idea how long everyone was working on the different bits.
