There is no "one format fits all" answer. Each station has its own set
of specifications which they publish to their content suppliers. If you
are submitting content for "demo" or "audition" purposes, then any
typical specs, including 1080p/24 (or 23.976) h.264 would be fine. But
they will tell you how they want it delivered for air.
