Do I presume correctly that you mean 2x faster than this new Mac? If so, I might be more tempted to go that direction, so I can use my PCIe cards and SATA drives. I don't know how many "pros" would want to trash their investments in RAID, video cards, etc. This doesn't look like an upgrade as much as "throw everything you have away and start over." And/or, junk up your workspace with a zillion adaptors. There's ample precedent for both approaches. I guess I need to see some benchmarks with Ae and Pr before I drink the cool-aid. . |
