You can use pt_Multiplane to help you setup the multiplane effect: http://aescripts.com/pt_multiplane The video tutorial explains how to use the script to create the effect in your reference.
I need to make an animated video of 50-60 seconds. The client would like something inspired by this type of video (but it doesn't have to be black/white it can have more color). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rbv_VY9HQLc
It doesn't have to be as complex as the reference!
Normally I would not ask for input and I have never asked for suggestions here before, but since it's not the type of animation I usually do, and I need it done over the next few days, I thought I would ask for some some tips on if there are some plugins, methods and ways to achieve the type of look and effects similar to this video.
I am just starting today so I thought it would be interesting to have any advice you can give me on producing the best video I can on a short deadline.
They have provided a lot of photographs to use so I don't have to illustrate the video making artwork from scratch which I would usually do, I have many reference photos provided by client.
The video needs to be based on the 2D images but they would like as much "3D" effect as possible (aka 3D layers / 2.5D).
Any tips would be much appreciated, I usually don't use any plugins or scripts but in this case since it's not a cartoon I would be able to use any methods available.
