After Effects gives the warning if there isn’t adequate headroom beyond what you’ve specified for use by the disk cache. If you specify N for the disk cache and there’s 1.25N or less free on the drive, then the warning appears. It’s just an informational warning. If I have the disk cache nearly full or full, exit AE, when I re-enter I get the message that the disk cache is not large enough for free space on disk. However, it’s a 256GB SSD, AE cache is set to 125 and disk has 150 GB free space.
