No, you would not be able to install any version of OSX on that machine. hackintosh OSX only works with very specific hardware configurations. And is not very stable. If you are not very familiar with PCs, I wouldn't even try to make it a hackintosh. It requires a lot of BIOS manipulation and computer knowledge. However I love windows 7, I don't think you'd have too many problems making the switch. Yes, xeon chips are great but you only get about 10-20% increase in speed for a 50%+ markup in price, so it's not really worth it. Like you said I much prefer the i7 series for cost vs. performance. I would spend the difference on a better graphics card than the GT 660. Is there the option for at least a GTX 680? the 6xx series cards are not very efficient at CUDA and compute performance. Last question, is there any other company who builds computers in your country, like a smaller online business that could ship locally? Or even an individual who builds computers on craigslist? You could get a much better deal on a system and be able to customize it for your needs, instead of spending more to customize a pre-built Dell. good luck, if you have any questions about parts feel free to ask. -TG On Sun, Jun 16, 2013 at 1:12 PM, Szab=F3 Gergely wr= ote: > Yeah unfortunately It cost that much. Yeah unfortunately It cost that much. As the Production Premium CS6 was 3.500 USD too.

I am a Mac user now. So I don't like to build machines by myself. Can I put Hackintosh to theese machines?

As far as I have seen here on the list. The most of you (who has a PC) preffer the Core i7 CPU-s instead of the XEON-s.

Yeah that sounds like a nice machine, but $2k USD? that system should be closer to 1200 USD or less. However I don't know what the markup and tax / VAT is like where you are. Or you could build it yourself for around $700 too I think. Also, I use an external RAID 0 enclosure through USB 3.0, it is very fast. I would highly suggest an SSD to install your OS on, it makes a huge difference

Hi,

I was looking for machines, andi I found the Dell XPS 8700 with Core i7-4770 and Nvidia GTX 660. It cost only about 2.000 USD (in HUF) instead of the HP Z420 or 620. What do you think? Does It worth the money? Maybe with an internal RAID?

Thanks
Gary
