I haven't figured that one out yet. My current workflow has been to render separate elements (not multi-pass) from C4D for the ultimate in flexibility down the road. I might try the new AE integration on a smaller project and see how I like it using object buffers. I wish it were possible to have some kind of hardware acceleration in AE for the Cineware effect. Seems a tad slow.
