What about Win 8 64 bit Pro VS Win 7 64 Bit Pro? For running AE CC and for best performance in general?

I know there is a new Windows 8 coming, Windows 8.1 or something, any point getting Win 8?

The price is exactly the same... I currently run Win 7 64 Bit pro for years.

I think whatever drops has happened with the release of Haswell. Might as well pull the trigger.

I am leaning against the i7 3930K 6 core for my upgrade, although I don’t know when it’s the right time to buy! Any price drops on these components anytime soon?
