I've seen those kinds of artifacts right before a card dies. Could even possibly heat related? - See if CPU render has same error - try reinstalling graphics drivers & plugin - turn off system and re-seat the GPU on the motherboard - check GPU / system for dust clogs in fans - rub your elbow probably all going to be equally effective...
