Yeah I was going to say this sounds like it could be a GPU issue. I've seen those kinds of artifacts right before a card dies. Could even possibly heat related?
- See if CPU render has same error
- try reinstalling graphics drivers & plugin
- turn off system and re-seat the GPU on the motherboard
- check GPU / system for dust clogs in fans
- rub your elbow
probably all going to be equally effective...

If they go away under CPU, the issue may be your GPU driver.
Red Giant has excellent support, but I don't know if they work on weekends.
