I opened a new project and imported one of the clips from the crashing
project, applied MB Looks - and it worked fine. Could not get it to
artifact or crash. But it was one clip with one effect on it. So,
thinking maybe the problem had to do with the fact that Looks was
stacked with a a few other effects on most of the problem clips, I
reopened the original project, turned off everything except Looks on the
first problem clip - and it worked. Still working on just that first
clip, I turned on the other effects in the stack one by one - and it
continued to work.
I am now going through and rendering out clip by clip just to get the
spot out the door. Once that is done I will see if I can render the
whole comp in one pass without artifacting or crashing. I will report
back on the results.
Thanks for the suggestions so far, and is that strange or what?
