I = didn't see the project, but I believe it was quite long, with many = layers of video in it. =20 When he initially went to render it it looked like being a 48 hour = render (this is after the render has been going for several hours). = This was too long, and he guessed that the many instances of the curves = plugin were slowing everything down. He stopped the render and went = through the project and replaced all the curves plugins with levels = instead, to get the same effect. Then the entire project rendered in = about 2 hours. =20 That's a massive difference in speed - this is AE v5, so not something = affected by cache. I can understand that curves may be slightly slower to render than = levels - but I would never have expected such a massive difference. And = my colleague is something of an AE guru and said he had experienced this = before, and that he's always found curves to be a slow plugin to render. = I'd never really noticed...
