I opted for the (lighter, less expensive, slower (2 out of 3)) 14 - 42 and 45 - 175 lenses. I've been very happy with my results though I haven't fully evaluated some low-light footage that I shot recently. The shoot at 60 p play back at 24 p setting gives nice slow mo even when plopped into a 30 i sequence. I do have 3 caveats. 1. I miss the scale focusing of the LX 7. Manual focus assist is hard to use when the subject is moving or I am shooting hand-held. 2. I very much miss the in-camera smears I could get on my PD-100 at 1/15, 1/8, or 1./4 of a second. My LX 7 has a 'bug' that lets you get these, but I've never found reproducible steps. 3. Though I have had no problems, I get very nervous about sensor dust and am reluctant to change lenses in the field. (e. g. New York City street scenes) BTW if you have use for a lightweight tripod, short and no quick release mount, the Manfrotto MKC3-PP has a nice ball head that is very stable when locked down. -- -- Emile If you can walk, you can surely DANCE My photography can be viewed at http://www.flickr.com/photos/22231918@N06/collections/72157603627170351/ My videos can be viewed at http://www.youtube.com/Tobenfeld
