Re: [AE] Comps Not Syncing
Jeff,
VERY good questions....
A) purging the memory DID change the display at one point. But the problem came back the next time I did anything. One frame earlier if I recall...
B) 11.0.2.11
C) It’s the roto-brushed footage and it seems that the problem occurs right when there’s a “Key Frame” (I know that’s not what it’s called) in the roto brush.
D) this always happens when there are multiple projects on deadline. I’ll try to get a simplified project together in the morning.
Thanks!!!!

hi lachlan,
if you're parked on the problem frame, does purging the memory cache fix it? if not, and if the disk cache is enabled, try disabling/emptying the disk cache, then purging the memory cache. does that fix it?
are you on 11.0.2? it fixed a few caching-related bugs.
is it the roto brushed footage or masked footage that's causing the problem (i.e., if you mute one or other does the problem no longer appear)?
if neither fixes it, would you be able to send us (aebugs@adobe.com) a simplified project, and w/ sample footage (if it's related to roto brush)?
thanks,

I’m doing a roto job in AE CS6
It’s a combo of rotobrush and standard rotoscoping.
I having a problem where on certain frames the comps will go out of sync for one frame and then be right on the next frame.
Details:
EVERYTHING is at 24fps.
Footage is lots of hands waving.
I have one source comp with the footage in it. I’ll drag that comp into a master comp and then roto out a hand.
Then I’ll drag the SAME source comp into the master comp and roto out an arm.
When I RAM preview or Render, they’ll go out of sync about 10 frames in.
I’ve even rendered out the clips and re-imported as a PS sequencing thinking it might be a QuickTime issue. Same problem.
Any ideas?
