Trapcode plug-ins have had bugs with the global performance cache (not just the disk cache, which is specifically the on-disk storage of the global performance cache). Make sure that you have their latest updates.

I've run into it a lot with Trapcode particular, but I wasn't sure if that was a bug with the plugin or AE. But just today I was using time displacement, and I had to turn off and dump the disk cache because it wasn't refreshing correctly. I'm on v11.0.2.12

The 11.0.1 and 11.0.2 updates fixed many bugs. And so did 12.0.
