I am struggling with the animation presets for Text.  Specifically the Animate In.  Often times the starting point is not off the comp.  So the text is in plain view before it even begins to animate.  I know in some of the presets you can change this position but in many, there is no control for this or at least non that I see.  "Straight in by Character" for instance.  Starts with my text on screen and then animates over a bit.  I want to move the starting position off screen.  If I use the position keyframe, it movers the entire text over so it animates into an area I don't want it.  Hope this makes sense.

I find this problem keeps me from using many of the presets for Animate In.  Has to be a solution, I just don't know what it is.

I know I’ve walked into production companies for meetings and ALL I see are iMac’s editing video.
