After restoring the plug-in, and achieving satisfaction for a few hours = yesterday, my ENTIRE COMPUTER became very sluggish and unresponsive. I = could move the mouse, but I couldn't do anything in Ae CC. Switching to = other apps was slow, and they were very sluggish. I thought I had an OS = problem. I forced my computer to reboot with the power switch, and the computer = then functioned OK. =20 I deleted the AJA Adobe plug-in before launching Ae CC, and was able to = finish my work. That plug in for Ae is bad news. It does continue to work OK in Pr, = though. I'm still not sure if Ae or the AJA plug-in is the problem, but the fact = it works great in Pr tends to steer me in the direction of Ae. Would be interested to hear experiences from other AJA or even BMD users = with Ae CC and external i/o cards or devices. What I'm not certain about, though, is whether the AJA = driver is defective, or whether it's Ae that's corrupting it. So, I'm = not sure where to file the bug report. >=20 > -=20 > On a related note: >=20 > Pr prefs get corrupted so easily (several times per day, some times) = that I have a similar refresh strategy that puts me back in business = after a quit, refresh prefs and relaunch routine. =20 >=20 > In case anybody is interested, my method is to launch Pr with a clean = set of prefs, adjust them how I want them, and then before starting any = work on projects, zip the prefs, and create an alias to the enclosing = folder on my desktop. That way, I can quit Pr, open the prefs folder, = trash the prefs, unzip the "clean modified" prefs, and relaunch Pr. I = do lose the Recent Items, but that's a small price to pay. >=20 > With Digital Rebellion's Preference Manager, I was able to refresh = prefs about as easily with CS6 and previous, but it's not yet been = updated for CC. >=20 >=20 >=20 > On Jun 23, 2013, at 7:20 PM, Todd Kopriva wrote: >=20 >> Good to know. >>=20 >> Please, everyone, spread the word that folks with AJA components need = to get the updated versions. >>=20 >>> -----Original Message----- >>> From: After Effects Mail List [mailto:AE-List@media-motion.tv] On = Behalf Of >>> Jim Curtis >>> Sent: Sunday, 23 June 2013 16:27 >>> To: After Effects Mail List >>> Subject: Re: [AE] Ae CC (12.0) won't import footage >>>=20 >>> Following up on this: >>>=20 >>> I noticed the AJA 10.4.5 Control Panel was now available for = download.
