I’v= e got a blog post about this coming up soon.

Changes to how Creativ= e Cloud manages software licensing affects how you install render-only inst= ances of After Effects CC, known as render engines.

After Effects CC allows you to install non-royalty-bearing render-only i= nstances of the application on multiple computers without using your 2 lice= nse activations, same as After Effects CS6.

Wha= t has changed is that your software license is activated when you install C= reative Cloud applications. Previous versions of After Effects activated wh= en the software was launched for the first time.

2. Go to the Download Center at http://creative.adobe.com to download and install After Effects CC.

3. When the installation is c= omplete, launch After Effects.

5. Quit After Effects.
