As an additional note:
If you want to use Tracker2Mask you can still do the tracks in
mocha if you don't find any good features for the AE tracker.
Just use MochaImport+ to convert the mocha tracking data into
normal AE trackpoints. Then use Tracker2Mask to work with them.
If you convert transform data to AE trackpoints, MochaImport+
creates one trackpoint for each mocha track,
if you use corner pin data it creates 4 AE trackpoints (one for
each corner).
I guess tracking a few mocha corner pins gets you a decent
coverage of trackpoints comparably easy.
And thank you for the kind words about Tracker2Mask, Patrick :-)
Cheers,

BTW
those two scripts are amazing.
After trying Tracker2Mask, I wrote Matthias to say that he
just kicked Imagineer to the curb.
The ability to average multiple AE trackers with TrackerViz
gives incredibly accurate results, which you can
apply to your open splines with Tracker2 Mask. It does what
Mocha can't yet do. and all without leaving ae.
yes it can take a bit more time to do all the tracks, but the
results are top notch.
I have not tried it yet, but i theorized there must be a
way to leverage the AE 3d tracker and the 2Dto3DScreenspace
script to do something similar.
Has anyone out there tried that yet?

Subject: [AE] motion tracking data to masks
Hey all,
Wondering what the best solutions are
to apply motion tracking data to open
masks (splines). This is mainly wanted to
help in morphing/warping situations with
our RE:Flex. Note that Mocha would be a
good solution if it supported open splines
(which we've requested!).
Also, using adjustment layers don't
really work, because of the way that
adjustment layers interact with our
plugins.
Looking for global to apply motion
tracking data as a transform of position,
rotation scale as well as applying to a
single point.
