Hmmm I wondered that too but no. I just realised I do have CC on my machine as well and it has the same problem. That makes it at least 3 and possibly 4 iMacs here which all crash as soon as the timecode plugin is applied, even to a brand new project with nothing else in it.
The crash can be delayed by having caps-lock on, so I have tried a few different timecode options etc, and also solid sizes, but no fix. BTW the timecode plugin does not have the option to specify a font.
The actual crash error is <140735110562176><ae.blitpipe><2>Making New Context.
Any more suggestions welcome but considering this affects multiple machines I'm guessing it's just a bug - either Apple or Adobe - and we'll probably use Dan's timecode expression instead of the plugin.

Corrupted font? (in a way that doesn't affect CS6 for some reason)
