It is best for long queues, however i find myself having to often reset the cluster in Qmaster, and sometimes it just refuses to work entirely for whatever reason. Honestly, if you are doing literally 1000s of clips as .wmv, and you cannot supply .mp4 instead (which looks 10x better at the same file size) i would say buy a cheap dedicated pc box for the conversion. Network it up and use watch folders, and the native .wmv conversion in AME. Otherwise, dealing with command lines, or multi app solutions, or an unreliable cluster will drive you nuts in the middle of production. Having done something similar, that is the option where you will least want to shoot yourself in the head. Seriously. Flip4Mac doesn't work with Adobe Mac products. =A0I checked with Telest= ream, and they said to take it up with Adobe.

Compressor may be your best bet, because you can save preset templates ther= e, and IIRC (haven't used it in a long time), it's fairly good with= multiple cores.

I have Squeeze, and it's the most overpriced software ever. =A0It makes= nice looking movies, saves presets, but it only uses one of my 8-cores. = =A0Boo. =A0It does Watch Folders, which could be handy, depending on your f= low.

There's freeware called QT Amateur that lets you do batch exports, but = there's no way to save settings.

You can do batches in MPEGStreamclip, and save settings. =A0I believe it us= es one core per queue item. =A0Set the "Simultaneous Tasks" setti= ng to the number of cores on your computer. =A0It's free.

So, I'd recommend Compressor or MPEGStreamclip because they're effi= cient and support presets.

Compressor supports cluster/network rendering, too, but I've never even= tried to set that up.
