There’s a bug introduced by the Adobe Media Encoder CC update so that it creates DNxHD files that can’t be read by After Effects 12.0. We’ll be addressing this in an update. Premiere Pro already addressed this in their Premiere Pro CC (7.0.1) update.

Oh well, there goes my theory about when it goes wrong then. And the bug seems yo be even worse now that premiere exported DNxHD files can be problematic too :-(
I have only seen it with Avid exported files in AE CC so far.

Exported from Premiere CC.

A film is – or should be – more like music than like fiction. It should be a progression of moods and feelings. The theme, what’s behind the emotion, the meaning, all that comes later.
