I was using the same folder for Pr and Ae caches, and now I don't think that's a good idea.
Pr corrupts its own cache files way too easily, and I delete them often to ward off crashing in Pr. I wish Adobe would fix this, because rebuilding the cache can take a long time in projects with lots of footage.
Now, I have separate caches folders on my super duper fast RAID for Ae, Au, Pr, and Bridge, so that trashing them for one app doesn't make me rebuild them for all my Adobe apps.
I trash my Ae cache every time I switch projects. But, I haven't noticed any problems with the Ae cache as I do with Pr.
