I have the Seiki 50" working on my system. The 30Hhz at 4K is not a big issue since I work pretty much all the time at 24fps - but I unless you are working on 4K projects and desperate as I am to judge resolution and sharpness, I would not recommend it from both size and overall quality. But the interesting thing despite the uneven backlight, mediocre color and dynamic range, when friends see footage from In Saturn's Rings at 4K, my Dell 24" and HP 30" are judged "crappy" and the Seiki 50" judged "amazing". 4K seems to have more wow factor than 3D in my very unscientific testing.

A film is – or should be – more like music than like fiction. It should be a progression of moods and feelings. The theme, what’s behind the emotion, the meaning, all that comes later.
–Stanley Kubrick
