For the question on why AE?  Well so far I've never needed photo shop so i don't have it (yet) but the other gent's reply is probably why i haven't needed it yet. Lol

Make a doc that size in Ps, and make a note of the pixel dimensions in Ps.

Then make a comp in Ae with the same pixel dimensions.  There you go.

3600 x5400 should do it.

Probably a silly question but I want to make just a single still image in AE but it needs to be 12” wide x 18” tall
and 300 dpi.  I've never really made something where I needed those kind of measurements and specs.

Any idea how to do this in AE?
