I've had this same problem as I have two sets - purchased and donated. My
resolution has been a new OS install as I assumed it was some hidden code or
file.

A film is - or should be - more like music than like fiction. It should be a
progression of moods and feelings. The theme, what's behind the emotion, the
meaning, all that comes later.

Subject: [AE] Trapcode Suite serial problem
Hi,
We're having issues installing the latest Trapcode suite, I will contact Red
Giant too but thought I might get a quicker responser here.
The place I'm working at is setting up a new motion studio, they've recently
bought 4 new iMacs. Initially they purchased 2 full Trapcode Suites which
eventually got installed on all 4 machines as various projects and
freelancers moved around. This obviously caused conflicts with serial
numbers so yesterday they purchased another 2 full trapcode suites. So now
we have 4 Macs and 4 full trapcode suite licenses.
The problem is that no matter what we try - including using the Red Giant
un-installer - we can't seem to get a unique license on each machine, we
keep getting the message 'machine xx has the same serial number. Please
re-install etc etc'. We've done that and we're definitely installing a
unique serial number on each machine but it doesn't seem to be overwriting
the old one.
Any suggestions?
-Chris
