ooooooh yes - I can see for rotoscoping how that would work great. That IS one plus of the contour - it has a click turn if I remember right - the MC Transport is just smooth - so a frame by frame in ae feels less precise.

I am happy with my Shuttle Xpress. But I mainly use it for rotoscoping in AE where its very helpful to go through the clip frame by frame.

Hey all I've got a big premiere project and ever since they removed the software shuttle buttons in ppro I've found the J-K-L shortcuts aren't as fast as they are in FCP. With so much footage to go through, I'm considering a hardware jog / shuttle. couple of questions:

- Are there any peripherals that also work with AE? or are specifically for AE? My guess is no. The one I'm looking at has multiple software macro buttons, that may be able to be mapped to AE shortcuts, which would make it worth it. I know my cintiq macro buttons work great in AE for roto, so I don't see why it wouldn't work.

- Do any of you actually use a hardware shuttle? Is it worth it? My concern is cluttering up my desk for something I'll only use sparingly

I'm looking at this one, which for $100 isn't gonna break the bank anyway.
