Not to open a new thread, here's the story:
close friend wants a premiere cs6 machine.
Already has an 2011 27 imac with 12gb ram and a 2009 quadcore pc...
He can sell the imac around 1800 euros, and build a new pc.
I configured out the following, which is using current Intel line
1150, rather than the suggested P9X79 PRO mobo and i7-3930K cpu, as
they are around 250€&550€ respectivelly (and quite more
expensive than current line).
Question:
for PP CS6, of equally priced GPU which is better:Â GF GTX 770
2Gb or GTX 760 4GB ?
here's the rig:
CPU
Core i7 4770K(1150/3.5GHz/8MB)
Motherboard
Z87X-D3H (1150/Z87/DDR3)
RAM
32Gb DDR3 2x 16GB(2X8)Kit 1600MHz Vengeance
GPU
GTX 770 2GB GDDR5
HD1:
840 Pro Series 256GB SSD (2.5", Sata 6Gb/s)
HD2:
Seagate 4TB
CASE
CM 932 equiv.
PSU
TX 850W (CP-9020043-EU)
Your thoughts, suggestions pls?

nah that motherboard has 8 slots, 4 quad channel
slots, so he should be OK. Anders, you can always add ram later
on. 32 is perfectly fine for 1080p, I can assure you. It's
cheaper to buy it aftermarket anyway. I only use gskill in my
current machines, but I have successfully overclocked even mixed
DIMMs from random manufacturers as long as the timings match
