| Hi all, I have an OT query - I always value the knowledge on the list and I know it's not limited to AE. I will be replacing the old 5400rpm drive in a Mac Mini with a new SSD. I won't be upgrading the OS or changing anything else - just the physical swap. Can I simply copy everything over between the two drives or should I clean install the OS onto the SSD first? I know that in an ideal world you would re-install everything from scratch and it's a good opportunity to do a spring clean, but I really won't have time. I'm not expecting any problems with doing a straight copy & replace so if anyone is aware of pitfalls then please let me know. As payment for an OT query I offer 2 handy keyboard shortcuts: 1) holding down the option key when pasting will paste at the current time. 2) When the main viewer window is selected, alt-double clicking on the hand icon will re-centre the viewer contents, which is very handy when comparing multiple compositions.
