Any reason for PNG over TIF? I thought TIF supported additional bit depth and lossless? Also, it's not really about the audio, more that sometimes I don't want the extra step of transcoding to a sequence if the rest of footage is in another codec. I just tried DNxHD and it works great with mocha. I don't mind having all my footage in this codec so if I need to track a surprise new item I won't have to stop and wait for a render to sequence. Anyway, thanks David. -TG On Wed, Sep 11, 2013 at 2:56 AM, David Torno wrote: > No point in having the audio round trip through a roto/track app. That can > always be added back in AE or your assembly tool of choice. > > I always use PNG frame sequences for quick track work or DPX if I really > need to mess with the image a bit to see details, but mostly JPG or PNG > sequences to keep things fast. > > David Torno > Visual Effects Artist & Supervisor > http://www.ghosttownmedia.com > O: 213.739.2290 > C: 818.391.6060 > --------------------- > http://www.sydefxink.com > http://aeioweyou.blogspot.com > http://mactex.blogspot.com > > "The most useless day is that in which we do not laugh" > -Charles Field > > On Sep 10, 2013, at 9:30 PM, Teddy Gage wrote: > > OK, looks like it didn't work in CS6 after all, it just imported the right > frame range and then I got the white screen indicating an incompatible > codec. I always use PNG frame sequences for quick track work o= r DPX if I really need to mess with the image a bit to see details, but mos= tly JPG or PNG sequences to keep things fast.
