yes, a MBP with hdmi out through minidisplay or thunderbolt adapter would be your best bet. It will push resolutions higher than 1080p so no reason that wouldn't work. I'd avoid keynote (just to leave technical issues out of it) and use VLC or QT, however keynote should probably be just fine.
