Testing is, as you say, = essential. A question that came up a while ago was how devices handle different = frame rates. At the time, I was curious about how a high end projector, = in this case a Christie, would deal with switching between 23.98 and = 29,97. To my eye, there was no problem at all but it was good to hear = from a Christie tech that the projector would faithfully play whatever = rate was thrown at it. Higher frame rates required special modules, = however, so when The Hobbit came out at 48 fps and when James Cameron = was experimenting with 60 fps, the projector needed an upgrade. All of = which is to ask, is the TV in Perry's post capable of playing a true 60 = fps? I kind of doubt it. And a related question =96 Isn't 60i another = way of saying 30 fps interlaced?
