I tried both, and while they'll both get the job done, I think with a = lot of text of different sizes to create that it might actually be = faster to use the Gradient Overlay in Layer Styles and break paragraphs = into lines. And you don't have to change the matte every time you move = a line vertically. And you can copy Layer Styles from one layer and = paste them on others. I'm also discovering that putting Text Animators on text with a Gradient = Overlay produces some bizarre results, as the gradient appears to be = applied after say position animation, which again is a downside of the = gradient being applied to the block of text rather than individual = characters.
