So there is no interface of sorts for the client to select what they download or not. Basically I choose what downloads to their local folder.

clients computer and your computer. Then you set up a folder on
your computer and within the software, you will create a "Secret
Code" that you send to the client. They use the secret code to set
up the folder on their computer. And that is it. Whenever you put
something in your folder, the clients computer will start
downloading right then and there. Both computers need to be on;
the file is not hosted anywhere on the web except on your computer
and the clients. It sounds harder than it is. I think it is
simpler to use than Dropbox.

Dennis, just to be clear, with Dropbox, you can right
click a file and choose share drop box link to generate a link
on the fly that you can show a client. You can also do this with
a folder and the client will show all files in that folder. That
link stays active as long as that filename or folder name is
there, so you can render over it and tell a client to check the
same link for the update.
Also, you can hover over the dropbox icon in the
system tray, or I believe now you click it and then click the
cog icon and you can see your transfer speed and estimate of
when all files will be finished uploading. Also each icon has a
blue arrow circle when it's uploading and a green check mark
when it's completed.
