With regard to the "precomp it" response.  It might just be procedural, but I had tried precomping my solid and it still moves.  Maybe you mean before I add the noise.  Hmm, let me try that. :)

Subject: [AE] Fractal Noise on Solid Not Sticking
Hello,

I've added a fractal noise to a solid, with Trapcode Shine then added (not that this is important), and when I animate the solid to move around to the scene, the fractal noise remains in place which sort of ruins the effect.

Basically, I have a screen replacement for a laptop with camera movement. The solid the replaces the screen and is tracked for the movement.

Any idea how to get this fractal noise to stick to the solid for the same movement?  Here is a still.

Thanks,
Eric
