Take a Solid and Precomp it. Inside the Precomp add your fractal noise. Back in the main comp apply your track and corner pinning to Precomp layer. If you need shine on a separate layer apply and then attach the center position point of shine to your track. If you apply shine to your now altered solid shape the shine will be distorted.

Your shine will stay in place if it is on an adjustment layer.

And, that didn't work.  I precomped my solid, then added the effect...no go.

It's definitely a solid.  I have a solid that I am using as a background, with the fractal noise on, then a separate solid with the Shine effect on.

With regard to the "precomp it" response.  It might just be procedural, but I had tried precomping my solid and it still moves.  Maybe you mean before I add the noise.  Hmm, let me try that. :)

Any chance you accidentally enabled the "adjustment layer" button?

Subject: [AE] Fractal Noise on Solid Not Sticking
Hello,

I've added a fractal noise to a solid, with Trapcode Shine then added (not that this is important), and when I animate the solid to move around to the scene, the fractal noise remains in place which sort of ruins the effect.

Basically, I have a screen replacement for a laptop with camera movement. The solid the replaces the screen and is tracked for the movement.

Any idea how to get this fractal noise to stick to the solid for the same movement?  Here is a still.

Thanks,
Eric
