I've done this hundred= s of times and even as recently as two days ago. It definitely works. :) In your primary comp create a Solid and apply fractal noise to it. Precomp i= t making sure "move all attributes" is checked. Now, that Precomp layer posi= tion value can be moved all over your frame and the fractal as well as any o= ther layers in the precomp will move together. Using this method you can eve= n take that Mocha track you just did and export as transform data, not corne= r pin, and you could copy paste that onto your Precomp and it would work too= . Corner pin tracks and corner pin effects Use the entire layer coordinates.= So you have to make sure the layer you apply such techniques too are the sa= me frame aspect ratio as the area you are trying to match up. ex: a 16:9 scr= een using a 4:3 layer, things would stretch out of proportion.
