Amazing as soon as I send email, I find answer.

 

I disabled the “auto test expressions during search” – this was triggering the crashing it. Searched with it off, and disabled.  Sorry to bother.

 

 

I would like to disable all expressions within a comp, is the a way to do this? I cannot open this comp without it crashing Ae – even with capslock on. I tried using pt_ExpressEdit, but even searching the comp from the project window for expression causes Ae to crash.

 

Is there a global method of disabling expressions?

 

I attached some layer controllers to existing some expressions.
