I find fcp always interprets animation movies as upper field first not as lower field (as set in AE), or progressive.

It sounds fine but when I import it into Final Cut it is seen as Dual Mono instead of Stereo.

AE says it is stereo, as to does QuickTime but FCP always says Dual Mono.

Usually we would do a layback in Final Cut but we are versioning a bunch of spots and want to avoid the extra step.

I found this thread on Creative Cow that sounds like the same issue.
