I hope someone can help me quickly here.  I am rendering a 1 hr 11 minute film in just 1280x720 for use for audio score and the sound guy had wanted an H264 .mov file.

 

In Adobe Premiere, I don't have an option to select H264 and then also select .mov anywhere so I had to go H264 .mp4.  For whatever reason, he can't transcode to some other format he needs.  I'm a bit baffled by it.

 

I know if I select Quicktime in the dropdown instead of H264, it WILL be a .mov, however the file size usually climbs tremendously.  He informed me that Quicktime is a wrapper but I have no way to select H264 with a .mov extension that I can see.  Can some direct me how to do this?

 

Right now, H264, .mp4, 1280x720 at min 3 bits/8 bits, gives me a 1.6GB file and I need it about the same for online file transfer.

 

Also, this takes me about 5 hrs to render.  My native file in Premiere is about 14 individual DNxHD clips.  Is that typical or is there some "use native codec" that he mentioned to reduce time?
