I remember that too - and was SO excited - because taking ai files (such as a fake UI layout) with thin 1px to 4px horizontal lines and slightly tilting them in 3d space is a huge aliased mess in AE. It's something we did a lot of on 'Ender's Game' - and it drove us crazy.

Unfortunately, the 'more accurate' switch didn't do anything to make the situation better in that case. Neither does the new CC antialiasing control. :-(

But an improvement in that area would be hugely welcomed!! I'll file an FR.

I recall a few months back that someone on this list had a problem with "jittery" Illustrator assets in an After Effects animation, and that problem was "fixed" by switching the Antialiasing option from Faster to More Accurate in the EPS Options dialog box (accessed by clicking More Options in the Interpret Footage dialog box).

This is surprising to some of the folks who work on the code here at the plabt, since that option should only help in cases in which gradients are being faked in an AI/EPS file in a way that occurred in such files from 1997 and earlier.

We'd really like to get a copy of any project (and relevant AI/EPS footage) in which switching the option from Faster to More Accurate helps. If this option is doing anything useful for assets created this millennium, then it's a sign of a bug.

So, if you _ever_ in the past decade have switched this option and found it useful to do so, let us know.
