Did miss the part of the discussion where you talked about why the C4D connection doesn't work for this since you are in CC? This would be super simple to do from my short observation.

I'm hoping it's not something like creating a matte for each individual object and exporting it separately, then reimporting it into a standard 3D comp. I could render every element separately for compositing but that's hours of work I don't have. I haven't used the RT engine much, so I'm hoping there's an easier solution. I could fake a glow with physical lights but then my render times go up.
