I rebuilt the glass plates, 3 slabs, two cylinders and the ground plane assuming that the rest you'd do with AE layers. The final frame with everything on screen took Invigorator 1.6 seconds with everything raytraced and fuzzy reflections in the ground plane. I don't see shadows in your animation so I didn't turn them on.
This doesn't include all of the other AE stuff you're doing, but on first test it appears that Invigorator is rendering in about half the time as the AE ray tracer. Hardware: a 2.0 GHz Mac i7 laptop doing software rendering only. No graphics card assist.
3D Invigorator doesn't use CUDA or GPU. Just software rendering so it works on any render farm and computer without the hardware problems plaguing some folks these days.
Hope that helps.

Looks pretty good I think, rendered on RT quality 7, Cubic filtering, took
about ten minutes on 2x GTX 580s
What's the render engine for Invigorator RT? Software? Hardware? OpenGL?
CUDA? It's pretty quick too?
