Ha yeah Jim neither of these machines are mission critical. In fact I do almost all my work on PC, so wanted to see what mavericks was like. I do also keep disk images of all machines if I want to roll back.Thanks Todd I'll try that

I upgraded a mac mini and my MBP to mavericks yesterday. AE CC didn't work on either to start. I have never upgraded from a demo either, always installed from Cloud app manager.

I just installed the patch and the mac mini now works fine with all CC apps.

However the mid 2010 macbook pro refuses to accept the patch. It says "this patch is not applicable to you" in the patch installer.

I have 10.9 and AE CC 12.0, it doesn't make any sense. I need this laptop available. I will contact tech support. I suppose I could try uninstalling AE?
