| To me if you have control from production to delivery (who really does? :-), I shoot all fast action at higher frame rates (50/60, 100, 200) with propper shutter speed, and the "static shot" at 24p. Then I choose to deliver my master at 24p. And yes I was part of the people who did not enjoy watching the Hobbit at 48fps: it looked like to real for my brain, like being on a stage and watching the story developped in front of me! So yes I believe you don't get the same response from viewer watching 24p over 30p.
